I was taught to bead embroidery about 15 years ago by my sister-in-law, Robin Atkins. Bead embroidery workswell for me because I don't have pressure of rules. I feel relaxed while I bead for that very reason. I've used bead embroidery as a way to handle anxiety, a chronic problem for me. I discovered I love texture. So I took a class in free form peyote, and made some jewelry that I really like. My husband completed his degree in Liberal Arts with a focus in studio arts. As he was learning, I learned a lot from him and discovered how many art forms are out there. We work well together, and collaborate frequently. In last few years, I've gone wild with rubber stamping, collage, altered art and ATCs. It's all sooooo coooool!!!

This and you are beautiful, Julie!
So very important to stay with it... you are in touch with the source here... I've been thinking of it as the "river" lately.
Love, Robin
Perfect name for your piece! Great depth of color in the greens!
Another ahhhhh from me. I love the piece. I immediately saw you in the form then noticed the flowers and leaves.
This is so soft and feminine. It's lovely. I think you picked out super colors for this.
ohhhhhhhhh I love this! You used one of my favorite colors and it evokes a sense of all things crisp and beautiful ....
