These are all so refresingly delightful, Julie. I like to study them and note all the colors and the freedom in them... I need to take a lesson from you. My favorites are this bird one and the one with the ginko leaves... both are really compelling to me. Thanks for posting your pictures!
hi jules...I hope you're doing the bjp again this year? I also tagged you on my blog...this little meme has been going around and I failed to duck in time, so now you're it! (but only if you want to be, lol)
I was taught to bead embroidery about 15 years ago by my sister-in-law, Robin Atkins. Bead embroidery workswell for me because I don't have pressure of rules. I feel relaxed while I bead for that very reason. I've used bead embroidery as a way to handle anxiety, a chronic problem for me. I discovered I love texture. So I took a class in free form peyote, and made some jewelry that I really like. My husband completed his degree in Liberal Arts with a focus in studio arts. As he was learning, I learned a lot from him and discovered how many art forms are out there. We work well together, and collaborate frequently. In last few years, I've gone wild with rubber stamping, collage, altered art and ATCs. It's all sooooo coooool!!!
