- I was taught to bead embroidery about 15 years ago by my sister-in-law, Robin Atkins. Bead embroidery workswell for me because I don't have pressure of rules. I feel relaxed while I bead for that very reason. I've used bead embroidery as a way to handle anxiety, a chronic problem for me. I discovered I love texture. So I took a class in free form peyote, and made some jewelry that I really like. My husband completed his degree in Liberal Arts with a focus in studio arts. As he was learning, I learned a lot from him and discovered how many art forms are out there. We work well together, and collaborate frequently. In last few years, I've gone wild with rubber stamping, collage, altered art and ATCs. It's all sooooo coooool!!!

Very cool! I like the boldness of the orange, I like the variety of texture. I think you're very brave to bead your uncertainty and longing for a new path. Good job!
i like the variety of textures here. to me it looks like some rocky patches surrounded by the serenity of wildflowers. i hope you find your path!
I love the free form and like you would like to step out of my safety zone and this is why I have joined BJP.
A very interesting choice for a back cloth and great texture.
I find that being in Australia my access to a large selection of beads is limited. Buying on the net is not very satifying.
